This poster had first been used as a history training aid in a German school in Ladenburg, near Heidelberg. It was frequently but carefully handled, and shows a bit of ware (but not much) which is natural for its age and instructional service.
Basically, it portrays a typical harbor in Medieval times. It is loaded with details of ships, dock workers, warehouses, and other essential elements need to load and unload ships.
The rod on which the poster hangs is 37.5 inches, the poster itself measures 46 x 32.5 inches. The photos amply characterize the poster’s description and its excellent condition.
This poster is truly authentic, historic, and had an important function in Germany’s educational system.
